Hola, I am back from my visit and

I had a fabulous time.

I had a birthday dinner at Olive Garden,

with my daughter and the kids.

I also had a birthday cake,

with songs and candle blowing.

I was surprised, specially to see a number

four candle on the cake. LOL

My kids forgot to get candles and number

four was the only candle available

and I did not care.

The whole idea worked fine for me.

Even though, there were lots of rainy days,

I still had a fabulous time.

Thanks guys for a great time.

I am looking forward to the summer,

where I plan to spend a month at my daughter’s

home.

I received an e-mail from Willie, who is a crafter,

on my 4shared, download Site.

He was interested in my heart boarder card,

but he need it in svg. Format.

I found myself puzzled with this request.

I use svgs. Formats, but never had

converted my files to one.

So, I gave it a shot, and to my surprise,

I was able to convert the file.

Now, all I needed was for it to work.

To convert it, I used the Inkscape , which

I have very little experience with.

So, I sent the file with my fingers crossed.

After a few days, I received a reply from Willie,

which was so wonderful.

He not only made his card,

but sent me a picture of it.
Wow, I was so delighted, to see his result,

and I’d like to share this wonderful

news with you crafters.

Thank you, Willie for using my file,

and please come again.

These are my granddaughters

Cassie and Miss Leandra,

they were playing dress-up.

They asked their mother for Lip gloss, as you

can see it in the picture.

Anyway, the next day, Cassie, my

youngest asked her mom for

lip gloss, the others were in school, except

the oldest of the girls, who was home sick.

Mom agreed, just to keep her

busy. She asked her Mom

if she could go upstairs to show her big sister.

When she got up stairs, she discovered

her sister was sleeping,

so on her way down stairs, she decided to

leave little lip gloss kisses on the wall.

She left a long line of kisses.

When her sister came down for lunch.

She discovered the line of lip gloss kisses.

When, Mom asked who left the kisses on the

wall, Miss Cassie replied,

I don't know !

So, there you have it

the Kiss on the Wall Caper.

I discovered that she had created a lovely

frame by paper piercing around the picture.

I was so taken by this crafting

technique that gave it a try.

It’s not as elaborate as her piercing but

I enjoyed trying it for the first time.

The Hair raising event....

Yes, its the hair raising event at my daughter's house.

I don't know, if you remember my granddaughter,

Miss Leandra...

Well, to enlighten most of you Miss Leandra, is

the middle child of the three sisters.

She's also the attention seeker.

Well, to make a long story short,

she attempted to give herself a new look.

She took the scissors and cut the top of her

hair and it was cut so short that it looked

like a Mohawk.

What a mess!

Well, of cause, Mom to the rescue, took

her to the salon to seek the impossible.

Wha La, magic!

This is Miss Leandra after the transformation.

She was very happy with the results,

and so was Mom...

This is my brother-in-law, with his new grand daughter,

Gabriella Rose Lopez

born on Sept. 20, 2010

She weighed 7lbs. 9oz.

she was 19 inches long,

even though, she looks tiny in her Grandpa's arms.

I am extremely happy for the Lopez family,

because this is the first female in this family.

My brother in law raised four males, and finally

a girl in the family. We are awaiting another female,

soon to arrive.

As we enter the first day of Autumn,

we start getting ready for the holidays.

Halloween is one of my favorite times of year.

I know that my grand kids

were looking forward to their first day.

While I was visiting, they all went to have their

haircuts.

The girls got their first haircuts, and lost four inches.

Even though, its

hard to tell, because they have such long hair. At least

they won't be sitting on their hair. LOL

In Memory of Jaden Jossia Torres

In a bittersweet moment an Angel has found his wings

and

set off on flight into the arms of God.

Jaden had three week to his due date, but God had other plans.

Words cannot heal the pain of losing someone so dear!!

May God give the parents the strength to overcome

the pain of losing their first born.

Our prayer are with them.

My Hubby went to Oklahoma to visit with his daughter and grand kids.

He also spent a week with his kids, while I was visiting my grand kids.

We decided this year to split up and visit the kids separately.

Finances did allow us to travel together.

We still had a great visit with our children.

Yeah, its been quiet hot lately.

I miss swimming with the kids at their pool.

Can wait for next month, when I go back for a visit

before school starts.

We sent lots of time playing in the pool.

The kids all know how to swim but Baby Cassie.

She's swimming around but with her floaty.

I am sure by next summer, she'll be swimming without it.

I created this card with the girls on my mind.

I am back from my visit to my daughter's home.

I had such a great time, I didn't want to leave.

My little people are all getting big, I can't believe that I saw them in May.

In just as little as two months,

they have stretch out and they also have great tans.

We did a lot of swimming and went to visit a historical light house.

Played on the Wii, I couldn't believe I was playing with

my grand kids video games. I have played on

playstation 2-3, but not on a Wii. (LOL)

I am taking a mini vacation to Virginia Beach, Va.

I am going to spend a week at my daughter's

home, with the Rug rats.

Grandma is taking her swimsuit and lots

of pain reliever. Which, I know will come in handy

after the kids get through with me.

They gave me a list of places they plan to take me.

I wonder. if my vacation will commence upon my return, LOL

New York is a having a heatwave, but I manage to make time

I was inspired to make after seeing another bird cage

file, which was done with a Cricut program.

I don't have the latest Cricut cutter. I do own a personal

Cricut, but no computer connection. I decided to make one

from scratch. I hope that there is someone who might enjoy

I wander how many tears, he would had shed with this

catastrophic disaster.

We need to support this clean up the best way we can.

My Princess is having a birthday.....

Ariana is having her Seventh Birthday

on June 25th.

Ariana is doing very good in School. In March, she received

the Lincoln Award, for her school performance.

Next school year, she will be attending a special class for gifted children.

We are so proud of her. Ariana loves to read and its paid off.

She has a very nurturing soul.

She's a good big sister and loves to help Mom with daily chores.

Way to go, Ariana!

Skateboarding is one of Ariana new entertainments. She's also has been

practicing her cartwheel. Ariana can't wait to get it right. She's getting there,

Anyway, this is why I chose the skateboarder for her birthday card. LOL

I’m back from my family visit. I had a great time with my kids. We had two birthday celebration, my grandson (Elias) and his sister (Miss Leandra).

We had a barbecue party for them on the weekend. It was a small party, but the kids had a blast. My daughter was having yard work done, so this limited the amount of kids on the invitation list. This week the yard was completed, and the only thing left is to replace the doors. I love what was done with the yard. When they purchased the house, they didn’t know that there was a problem with the drainage system. During heavy rain falls the water would accumulate and it would become almost like a pool, it would get really muddy. The dogs and kids would track in mud, and it was a nightmare. She invested her money into fixing the yard in time for the summer, so the kids are in their glory. She has a nice size yard and it would have been horrible not to be able to enjoy the yard. Now, they picked up a pool and plan to enjoy the Memorial Day in their new backyard.

Finding Pazzles accessories was a mission...

For the last few weeks, I have been searching for cutting blades and mats

for my Pazzles cutter and no place here in New York City carries them.

I finally decided on getting them on-line.

So, I had to be patient with my delivery. Ahhhhh!

I created this Valentine card for one my granddaughter. I found this graphics of this cute elephant and I couldn't resist. He's so adorable and I know that my granddaughter will love this card. I hope that you can find some small person that will like receiving this card.

I finally found my creative mind. I couldn’t for the life of me, get my gears rolling.
It’s one of those things that I’m sure happens to everyone at one time or another. I sent my
Stepdaughter a thank you card for sending her Dad and me, some OU (Sooner) College Football
T-shirt. She’s a big Sooner fan.

January Birthdays...

I had spent New Years with my family in Virginia. In the middle of our holiday celebration, we were moving her into her new home. Wow, it was a lot of work, specially trying to enjoy stay up to see the New Year Ball fall, after a full day of work.
It was so nice to see the kids unpacking their things in their new rooms. I was shocked how their mother was able to adorn and set up their Christmas tree with all the things that had to be unpacked. She's quite a Supermom. Thank God, that moving doesn't happen often.

We were really surprised, when they brought out a birthday cake for their Grandpa. The funny thing about it, was that they forgot to get candles, so they used their previous birthday candles, which were numbers six and eight.
So, Grandpa had a choice of being sixty-eight or eighty-six, LOL.
It was a great birthday surprise. I am enclosing some of the birthday pictures of the surprise birthday. His Birthday isn't till the 18th. but being that he was there and we won't be back till March. They wanted to do something nice for him.

This is what I made with my Digi software. I still have some work and practice, but at least I am headed in the right Digi direction. LOL
Once again, I have to open my vault and post my last year New Year file,

Four Eyes...

I just got back from Virginia. I was helping my daughter move in to her new home. I got a chance to spend some time with my grandchildren. I don't know how many of you remember my granddaughter, Miss Leandra. Well, Miss Leandra says to me: "Grandma, my teacher has four eyes". I said Four eyes, what do you mean four eyes, does she wear glasses. No! replies, Miss Leandra. She says that she can see us from the back of her head. But, Grandma, I looked and I didn't see no eyes in the back of her head. So, where are they. I laughed, and laughed. I said to Miss Leandra, she doesn't have four eyes, she just wants you to think she does, because she has an idea of who's not behaving, when she's not looking. Its just a figure of speech. Well grandma, I know that something was wrong because, I looked really hard at her head and I just could not find those two eyes. From the mouth of babes, or may I say from the mouth of

These are a couple of Christmas card that I made hoping to get them out on time for Christmas.

Trying to help my daughters with her big move and getting back to making my Christmas cards and list, have been cutting it close for me this year.

To make things possible, I guess that money cards are in my list for the kiddies this year.

So, I am passing the shopping responsibility to the parents. I don't want to play Grinch, so I will get my kids to do a little last minute shopping for me.

Christmas Card Challenge...

I am posting this Santa Card, but it’s been quite difficult to get me card list out this Holiday. I've been busy with my daughter and her new life style. She has been serving in the US Navy for the last 14 years. She has decided to leave her Navy career and become a Civilian. She has four children and they need their Mom near home. She's done three overseas tours, and with more Military personal need overseas, it’s time to pick between being a hero or being a Mom. Being a mother has over weighed her decision. I am happy with her choice. Dad has been there for the kids and I love him for it. Mom, tried to stick it out to give them everything that she wanted, but right now, Mom is better home with them. Now, Dad can be more of a help working and coming home to his family without the missing puzzle piece, MOM. Children of the ages of 2 yrs. old through 8 yrs. old need a Mother. Well, they become homeowner and I am very happy and most of all proud of them.

Honor Roll 12/01/09

My Grand Son, Elias made the honor roll and this is the reason why Mom is needed at home. We are extremely proud of his accomplishment. This another shoe that I made. I came across this shoe at this site, but it didn't have a file it was a print and cut. I was able to make a file for it. This site shows you how to cut it by hand, but you can also make a cut file for your cutter its not hard. Try it. I also love this shoe pattern. I know if you try it you will also like it.

Oh! No! Why are we being assaulted by the Grinch, this Christmas. What do we say to our little ones? They look forward to writing to Santa at the North Pole. How could this happen in this high tech. world we're living in? Someone has to do something better to grab this bull by the horns. Its heart braking! Read it for yourself ....

My niece is having a Sweet Sixteen birthday celebration, on January 30 th. I want to give her a shoe with a small bottle of perfume and money attached. This is one of a few that I am looking at. I am presently cutting another shoe. As soon as I cut and embellish it, I will post it.
